Where it begins
We thought time would change things.
When we were younger, many of us believed that by the time we reached our forties and fifties, some of the conversations women were having would no longer be necessary.
That women would feel freer to trust themselves.
To speak clearly.
To build their own financial independence.
To choose relationships that allow them to remain themselves.
To be ambitious without apologising for it.
To decide for themselves what a good life looks like.
But years later, we still see it.
We see young women trying to figure out who they are beneath everyone else's expectations.
Women building careers who have learned to question whether they are too ambitious, too direct or simply too much.
Women making themselves smaller in relationships to keep the peace.
Women who have spent years taking care of everyone around them — and one day realise how little space they left for themselves.
Different ages. Different lives. Different stories.
And yet, underneath, we keep seeing the same thing: women losing touch with their own voice.
So we stopped waiting for time — or society — to change it. Because real change doesn't come from outside. It starts with each of us.
